Last night we made the drive out to Rushville to Uncle Dave and Aunt Kate's house. They are moving out in the next couple weeks so Dave offered to have us come out so Ryker could feed the calf before he had to sell it. Ryker had a blast! My parents came out too and we all had dinner together. Robert was in class so he missed all the fun. :-(
Uncle Dave showing Ryker one of the cats.
Getting the feed measured out for the heifer. Ryker was in charge of counting out the scoops.
Carrying the hay to the heifer's stall.
The calf was so friendly and calm. It came right out of its stall and stayed close.
Giving the heifer his hay and feed.
Measuring out the formula for the calf's bottle.
The bottle all ready to go.
Uncle Dave helping Ryker get in the right position.
The calf was tugging pretty hard on that bottle. Ryker had to hold on tight!
He was so excited, but taking his job very seriously!
He loved the cat (of course) and it let him carry it all over the place!
Uncle Dave thought it'd be funny to let Ryker ride the calf. With that bottle in its mouth, it didn't care one bit! Ryker loved it!
Meeting the other cat.
Now time for bonding with the dogs. Josie loved laying on Ryker.
Yes, that is a piece of bread in Ryker's mouth and the dog is eating it. Uncle Dave showed him this trick and he wanted to do it too. Josie is such a good dog and is so gentle. Ryker thought it was awesome!
We brought the boys' Halloween costumes too so they could "trick-or-treat."
Nana couldn't get over how cute Camden was in his puppy costume.
Papaw won't be here this weekend when we go to their house so he had to get a picture in now.
Thanks for having us out Dave and Kate. We had such a great time! Ryker's sad you're moving since you won't have the cows anymore, but we're excited you'll be much closer and we'll see you way more often! :-)
