1st Bath and Other Happenings

Today was Camden's first official bath.  Before bath time we made hand and footprints of both boys.  For some reason they didn't do them at the hospital for Camden and I wanted them in his baby book.  And, of course, since Camden got to do it, Ryker wanted to too.  We didn't get any pics of Camden getting his done since it was definitely a two-person job.  But, here is Robert helping Ryker:
Finishing up the handprints.

Ryker's face cracks me up in this one..he was taking it very seriously!

Our kids have some big hands and feet!
Now, to get that ink off!
Ryker was excited to help.

Camden didn't love the bath, but he didn't do too bad either.

All clean!

2 Weeks Old!

It's hard to believe, but Camden was 2 weeks old yesterday!  Time is already going too fast for me.  I know how fleeting these newborn days are and I just want to soak them up while they last.  He is so precious!  He is such a good baby!  He is eating every 3-4 hours on average and is spending the majority of his time in between feedings sleeping.  When he is awake we are already working on tummy time.  He is doing great with head control.  He definitely likes to cuddle, especially in the afternoon and evenings.  His really active time is between 10pm and midnight just like it was in utero.  We're trying to teach him that this is bedtime but for now, I'm not complaining too much.  He does have us all to himself then and seems to enjoy the one on one attention. ;-)  I'm not sure how much he weighs now, but he is already growing for sure.  He's still wearing some newborn clothes, but the long-sleeve shirts are already too short in the sleeves and the onesies are getting harder to snap.

Chilling in the Boppy.

Sweet little boy!

That hair is hard to tame...it's too curly to lay straight and too short to stay curly...quite the conundrum!

Auntie Em, Joey, and Kainen brought us dinner and got some time to hold Camden.

Of course Ryker wanted in on the action too!

Phone Pics

I've been much better about taking pictures on my phone since Camden arrived because I always have it handy.  Here are the pictures I've taken since he arrived.

Day 2- About 18 hours old

My 3 favorite boys!

Mommy and her boys...so happy!

Camden really hated being in that crib all alone under the bili rubin lights.  The nurses were really nice and set the two of us up in a chair for a couple hours.  Daddy had to leave to get some things from home so I sent him a picture of us.  Daddy pulled a session like this too.  Camden really liked it, but after a couple hours, Mommy and Daddy were numb and getting headaches from the lights, but anything to make our little boy happy!

Home at last!

Ryker was so excited to hold him first thing in the morning the day after we got home.  I think he was afraid he'd wake up and we'd be gone again.

Sweet little angel!

Catching Up...

Here are some recent pictures I haven't had a chance to post yet.

Most of Camden's cord fell off September 20th, but some of it hadn't been getting enough air to dry out so we still couldn't give him a full-on bath.  However, his hair was starting to look pretty greasy, so we gave him a little sponge bath.  Here is he afterwards.

Poor jaundiced little guy...hopefully all the yellowness will leave soon!  But, check out that curly hair!  It's just like Ryker's was.  In fact, when Ryker saw that it was curly, he got SOOO excited and yelled, "Him have curly hair like me!!!" and started running around.  It was so funny!

Speaking of Big Brother, he's awful proud!

He sure does love his baby brother!

Happy Birthday Charlotte!

I'm way behind on blogging, but considering I have a newborn, I hope you forgive me!  September 18th Ryker attended his first real friend birthday party.  Charlotte was turning 3 and they had a party at Chuck E Cheese to celebrate.  This was Ryker's first trip to Chuck E Cheese too. Robert took him to the party and I took Camden back up to the hospital for a test they forgot to complete before sending us home.  Ryker had a great time and has been talking about it ever since.
